“Coach Mike” has always had a love for the game of baseball, and played competitively through High School. He earned a degree in Kinesiology and played rugby at the University of Wyoming before commissioning into the Army, where he has served for over 19 years. Coach Mike is passionate about passing on his love of the game to all young athletes, as his dad did for him. His coaching emphasizes sound fundamentals, technical skills competency, and strong baseball IQ, while developing players to have character, grit, and an understanding of what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves—all of which are essential for all aspects of an athlete’s life now, and in the future.
Christopher Tyndall, from Cumberland County, North Carolina, fell in love with baseball at five, starting with T-ball at the local Parks and Recreation Center. His passion led him to play for competitive travel teams like Area Stars, Cumberland County Venom, and Wow Factor, where he developed skills in teamwork and perseverance. At Gray’s Creek High School, he excelled as a player and began coaching the JD Pone Coyotes girls’ softball team, embracing mentorship.
Graduating in June 2024, Christopher now pursues a Sports Management degree through Liberty University Online, aiming to become a coach. His extensive playing experience and coaching background fuel his mission to inspire young athletes. Christopher’s story showcases his dedication to baseball and its power to shape character and foster growth.
